COPUS

Since 1987, the Copus Grant Schemes have supported and encouraged ways of making science accessible to public audiences in the UK, with funding from the Office of Science and Technology and the Royal Society . Although the Copus Grant Schemes have now closed, this site still provides information on the projects that have been funded by the Schemes, Copus Grant publications, and information for current grantholders.

Bewdley Residents' Flood Committee is a flood support group for those at risk of flooding at Bewdley on the middle Severn. Gill Holland from Bewdley Residents' Flood Committee has assisted the Lower Severn Community Flood Information Network in a great many ways since its launch in 2004.

The Trustees are the competent harbour authority for the Gloucester Harbour. The main duties and responsibilities of the Trustees are the provision of pilotage, the provision and maintenance of navigation aids and generally to ensure the safety of navigation within the Gloucester Harbour.

A not-for profit independent organisation giving support to those affected by or at risk of flooding. Run by people who themselves have had direct experience of flooding, the National Flood Forum welcomes both individuals and groups to use it as a resource for support, information and advice on flooding issues.

Severn and Avon Vales Wetlands Partnership (www.severnwetlands.org.uk)
The Severn and Avon Vales Wetlands Partnership (SAVWP) was established in 2000, in response to widespread concern over the dramatic loss of floodplain habitats and key species of flora and fauna, especially breeding waders - Lapwing, Snipe, Curlew and Redshank - within the river catchment.
